LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lea Michele is breaking her silence online after her “Glee” co-star and real-life boyfriend Cory Monteith died of an overdose earlier this month.

The actress posted a photo of her and Monteith on Twitter Monday, along with a message thanking her followers for “helping me through this time with your enormous love & support.”

“Cory will forever be in my heart,” Michele wrote.

Monteith was found dead July 13 in Vancouver, British Columbia. An autopsy revealed the 31-year-old actor died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol.

He and Michele played an on-again, off-again couple in the popular Fox series and were an off-screen couple for about a year.

Mo Farah: New British and European record holder in the 1500m

Mo Farah broke Steve Cram's 28-year British 1500m record at Friday's Diamond League meeting in Monaco.

The double Olympic champion stepped down in distance to hone his speed ahead of next month's World Championships and clocked three minutes 28.81 seconds to finish second to Kenya's Asbel Kiprop.

Farah's time surpassed Cram's mark of 3:29.67 but also eclipsed that of Spaniard Fermin Cacho - 3:28.95 - to make him the new European record holder.

It is some achievement by an athlete who is the Olympic champion over 5,000 and 10,000m and will step up to the marathon next spring.

Farah told the BBC: "Training has been going pretty well. The aim was to work on the speed. It would have been nice to get closer to Kiprop but he is a different class."

Cram added: "To run like that is unbelievable. It puts him right up there in the top five or six of all time. I am shocked in a great way."

Elsewhere, controversial sprinter Justin Gatlin won the men's 100m, a race run against the backdrop of revelations that leading sprinters Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell had failed drug tests.

Gatlin, who served a four-year doping ban from 2006, beat a field without world record-holder Usain Bolt in 9.94 seconds, to show he is likely to be the Jamaican's main contender in Moscow.

Agar breaks Test record for No. 11

Australian teenager Ashton Agar has broken the record for the highest score by a Test number 11 in the first Ashes Test against England at Trent Bridge.

The debutant left-arm spinner was out for 98, beating the previous top score of 95 made by West Indies' Tino Best against England at Edgbaston in 2012.

Agar and Phillip Hughes (81 not out) also surpassed the record Test partnership of 151 for the 10th wicket.

Australia were finally dismissed for 280, a first-innings lead of 65.

En route to the record, Agar had already beaten the previous best Test score by a debutant number 11 - 45 not out by Warwick Armstrong for Australia against England at Melbourne in 1902.

The 19-year-old joined Hughes at the wicket with the score on 117-9 and the pair added 163 before Agar was last man out, caught by Graeme Swann on the midwicket boundary off the bowling of Stuart Broad.

The previous 10th wicket record of 151 was set by New Zealand's Brian Hastings and Richard Collinge against Pakistan at Auckland in 1973, and equalled in 1997 by Pakistan's Azhar Mahmood and Mushtaq Ahmed against South Africa in Rawalpindi.

The new Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd paid tribute to the pair.

"What a stunning, gutsy, agonising 98 from Ashton Agar in the Ashes Test. Full marks to Hughes. Well done guys," Rudd wrote on Twitter. 

Agar becomes the ninth player in Test history to finish as the highest scorer in an innings when batting at number 11, and only the second to do so on his debut following Jayantha Amerasinghe's 34 not out from a Sri Lanka first-innings total of 215 against New Zealand in Kandy in 1984.

Lancashire's Parry breaks forearm

Left-arm spinner Stephen Parry may not play again for Lancashire this season after breaking his forearm.

The 27-year-old, who is not playing in the Championship fixture with Northamptonshire, was struck on his bowling arm during net practice.

"It's a real disappointment for us. He's going to have surgery on Friday and it looks like it might end his season," said coach Peter Moores.

"When it's a break, at least you know what it is and you can get it fixed."

Parry's involvement with the Lancashire first team has mainly come in limited-overs cricket, although he ended a four-year absence from their Championship side in May.

The injury will keep Parry out of the remainder of the FLt20 campaign, although Moores added that the Red Rose have other spinning options he can call upon.

Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester, he continued: "Arron Lilley's come in and done well. Simon Kerrigan hasn't played in the T20 yet so we've got a great replacement in Simon, but we all feel for Steve.

"He's one of the heartbeats of the squad. He's pushing hard to be a part of the Championship team and is an integral part of the one-day team."
